Filter Design


The simplest way to develop a cross-coupled filter is to use the following design flow.

For a given filter specification the optimal transmission and reflexion response must be found. To solve this approximation problem CoupleFil can be used for tuning and optimizing.
CoupleFil allows to choose the adequate filter out of all possible filter topologies by illustrating triplets, quadruplets and other structures. The software calculates immediately the exact coupling matrix.
Center frequencies and coupling bandwidths which are necessary for field simulation can be displayed with CoupleFil.
Mechanical dimensions can be derived by a field-simulation tool such as CST Microwave Studio.
